As part of our work to build a new Metrolink line from Manchester to Droylsden we are laying track along sections of Ashton New Road and Manchester Road.
On the evening of Monday 28th June, we are delivering a paving machine to the worksite in front of the Jolly Carter pub before 8.00pm. We will carry out the paving work within our worksite between the Jolly Carter and 305 Manchester Road on Tuesday 29th June from 8.00am - 8.00pm. The paver will be removed form site on Tuesday evening between 6.00 - 8.00pm.
We will maintain full pedestrian access at all times.
Managing construction work
All our work will be carried out in line with our Code of Construction Practice (COCP). This includes measures to ensure that safety procedures are followed and to control activities which may affect local residents and businesses including noise, working hours and pollution. The standard times of work will be between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
Please note that construction sites can be dangerous places - sites are fenced in for the protection of the public. For your own safety, please do not try to access the site.
There will be no need for anyone to enter your property or business without prior arrangement. If we do need access to your property we will request this in advance and our representatives will carry appropriate identification. If you are in any doubt, please do not allow access to your property and call our helpline numbers (0161 244 1555 or 0845 604 2724) to confirm the identity of anyone claiming to be a GMPTE, Metrolink or MPact-Thales representative.
