How Do I Buy A Season Ticket?
- To buy any Metrolink Season Ticket you need to be a member of the Metrolink Travel Club and have a valid Membership Card.
- Membership is free and lasts for 5 years.
- Your Travel Club membership card has to be shown when you buy your season ticket and must be shown along with your ticket during inspections or when requested by Metrolink staff.
- Season Tickets can be bought from GMPTE Travelshops or from hundreds of PayPoint outlets or by calling 0161 789 5866.

Can I Use My Season Ticket Immediately?
- Season Tickets are valid from the beginning of service on the start date you specify for your ticket. They are valid until the end of service on the expiry date.
- You must have your Travel Club membership card with your ticket at all times.
When Can I Use My Season Ticket?
- Anytime!
- You can use your season ticket for as many journeys as you want while it is in date, including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays (except Christmas Day!), and at any time of the day, between the stops you specify.
- So why not take advantage of it for nights out or weekend leisure trips?
- If you want to make a special trip beyond your usual stops as specified on your ticket please call Metrolink Customer Services on 0161 205 2000 and they will explain how you can ensure you buy an appropriate ticket from the ticket machines before starting your journey.
What About Child Tickets? - Parents of U-16 and U-19's
- Metrolynx (Child) Season Tickets are available to anyone in possession of either of the following photo cards:
• a GMPTE Under-16 permit or
• a GMPTE 16-19 Scholar's Permit
- Starting from the 1st of February 2006 purchasing your child's Metrolynx season ticket has now become a whole lot easier, thanks to PayPoint. You will need to take your child's GMPTE permit with you.
- Located in hundreds of outlets throughout Greater Manchester, with many offering extended opening hours, you can now buy your child's season tickets more than 3 days in advance from hundreds of PayPoint outlets - almost wherever and whenever you choose!
Why have monthly season tickets changed to 28 days validity?
Following the introduction of PayPoint all monthly season tickets will have a standard validity of 28 days, however in anticipation of this Metrolink season ticket prices have been held for almost two years (last changed 5th July 2004). Metrolink 4-weekly season tickets still offer generous discounts over purchasing 5 adult peak returns.
REMEMBER - We continually carry out ticket inspections. Anyone found travelling without a valid ticket will be liable for the "Standard Fare" which could cost you up to £80 or lead to prosecution.
